Four of the Starting Block shorts will be screening as part of an evening of local films at Projekta Film Club. The club is an initiative by Plantation Productions to bring local people and filmmakers together.

Starting Block Shorts at Portobello Film Festival

Starting Block shorts Running Wild and I, Alive will both be screening at Portobello Film Festival 2011, the UK’s biggest independent film competition.

Filmmaking & Activism Event at Refugee Week 2011

Diversity Films are please to be taking part in the following event as part of Refugee Week 2011

Shorts and Panel Discussion
Human Rights Activism and Filmmaking (N/C12+)

Sunday 26th June
Glasgow Film Theatre, Rose Street, 3pm

Refuge England (d. Robert Vas, 1959, 27 mins)
Mobile Men (d.Apichatpng Weerasethaku;, 2008, 3 mins); plus selected short films from Camcorder Guerillas, Digital Desperados and Diversity Films, including the award-winning Sanctuary : Inside Stories which raises awareness about the impact of asylum on mental health.

The screenings will be followed by a panel discussion on human rights activism and filmmaking.
